Letting Go of Self-Doubt and Embracing Self-Compassion

In one of my LIVE discussion, Confidence and Self-Doubt were topics that connected with everyone.
Self-doubt is something we all feel sometimes—it’s that little voice that makes us question if we’re good enough or points out every mistake we make. But instead of being hard on ourselves, we talked about how important it is to show ourselves a little kindness, or self-compassion.
Confidence doesn’t mean we never mess up; it means we give ourselves space to learn and grow without beating ourselves up. Being kind to ourselves, especially when things don’t go perfectly, helps us build real confidence.
Imagine treating yourself like you would a good friend—you wouldn’t put them down or make them feel bad for messing up. Instead, you’d probably tell them, “It’s okay; you’ll get better.” That’s what self-compassion is all about. When we start seeing mistakes as part of the process, we feel more confident and ready to keep going, even when things are hard.
Confidence isn’t something we “have” overnight. It’s something we build little by little, every day, by being patient with ourselves.
Letting go of self-doubt and learning to be kind to ourselves means we’re more ready to handle whatever comes our way. Confidence isn’t about being perfect or never being scared; it’s about trusting yourself to keep going and learning.
